(City Council Request)
REQUEST TO USE DOWNEY MEMORIAL PARK
The W.O.O.F. For Dogs Group requests use of Downey Memorial Park for a dog park.
The park area is well suited for this type of use and meets the location, size, utility,
parking, and expansion ability needs for a dog park.
We have presented our request to the Indianola Parks & Recreation Commission at
their October 25, 2006 meeting, answered their questions, and received unanimous
support from them to use a portion of this park for a dog park. We will appreciate your
consideration of this request.

their pets and more with one another.
W.O.O.F. Dog Park.
If you are a dog owner and have had the experience of an off-leash park, you know
how great this can be.
If you have not had the opportunity to visit a dog park with your dog or don't own a dog.
You don't know the excitement and thrill of watching your dog run and play with others,
without the fear of traffic or the confrontation of other dogs protecting their territory.
There are a great many other communities across the country that have added dog
parks; they have become "community builders" bringing people together with common
interest and creating happier pets.
We hope you will help us make this a reality.
